As to celebrate International Environment Day on 05th June, Caritas Rathnapura Sethmini organized several Campaigns at Kahanawita Canal of Dehiowita. The event consisted with many tasks, such as cleaning the area around the canal,fixing steel manhold covers to the bank of the canal and declared opened the name board at Dehiowita town Under SSEP project. Rev.Fr. Director of Caritas Sethmini, Ven. Rev. Udagama Dammathilaka Thero, Muslim Mawlawi of Dehiowita, Mr.Chandana Anuruddha (Divisional Secretary of Dehiowita), Mr.P.Samarasekara ( Police Inspector – Dehiowita),Mr.Ajith Kumara ( The Manager – Mahaoya Estate),officials from Water Board, Youth Corps, Youth Council members and project Coordinators were present at the moment.
