The new peace building project under Caritas Sri Lanka (CSL) SEDEC was started funded by the German Catholic Organization AGIAMONDO (previously known as AGEH). The project      focuses on “Empowering Youth for Social action and as Ambassadors of Peace.”  All activities were conducted for the benefit of  youths and teenagers resulted in uniting them irrespective of their ethnic or religious background. Sport and different outdoor activities, as well as educational games, were always conducted after an introduction and briefing on the importance of mutual understanding, staying united and in acceptance of differences. Youth were also setting an example to the rest of the society on peace and religious harmony.
